I also went for a run in the neighborhood in the morning and it's a really cute little community. We walked by the lake, but didn't participate in any of the many lake activities.

I noticed that another couple was checked into the room next to us, and there were people above them, but I never heard anyone at all when we were in our room. It was just 2 of us for one night but I did notice that there were a TON of outlets throughout the room. The room was really spacious and just overall lovely. They had quiet reggae music playing at the pool and I really enjoyed it! The room was IMMACULATE.
Every room has a balcony with bright yellow adirondack chairs and it was really nice sitting outside our room, with a cup of coffee and my book. The hotel texted us to let us know our room was ready and we were able to check in around 1 PM. We got a pretty good deal since we stayed the night before New Year's Eve (12/30). The Lakehouse Hotel and Resort offers affordable luxury on the shores of sunny Lake San Marcos matched with an unparalleled guest service experience. We booked it last minute as a fun little getaway during the holidays. Pros: We LOVED our one-night stay at the Lakehouse! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left - everything was perfect.
